When the British and Indians attacked the Americans at Frenchtown, the Indians exacted a terrible revenge against their American enemies. They had not forgotten the Battle of Tippecanoe the previous year when their village was attacjed and destroyed. The joint attack on Frenchtown helped prevent another invasion of Canada.
