The New Girl is a graphic story about a girl named Florence. Florence moves to a new town and is tormented by some of the young people she comes across. They make fun of her, and particularly make fun of her necklace, which she decides to remove. Her life changes for the better when she is befriended by some classmates. She soon learns to be proud of who she is, and who she is includes wearing her necklace. This story teaches the importance of friendship, kindness, and respecting differences.
