Informational
Region: Variety
Matt, who lives in the country, and Tanya, who lives in the city, are cousins. Where Do You Live? follows an email exchange between the two as they attempt to learn more about each other’s community. The emails are very descriptive and convey a great deal of factual information in the form of an electronic (email) conversation. Where Do You Live? includes Fact Boxes that allow the children to extend the emails that they read and provide a deeper understanding of the topic being discussed. The book concludes with a chart comparing and contrasting rural and urban communities.
