Shakespeare, a Seeing Eye puppy, is sent to the home of a troubled foster child, Tessa, whom he expects to love him on sight. Shakespeare soon realizes why his new owner is called 'Stoneface', and begins to teach Tessa to love. Before he knows it, Shakespeare finds himself in a variety of dangerous situations, from being attacked by Zorro, a very tough rooster, to nearly drowning in a creek.
