When hitman Jean Payette (Rod Taylor) is saddled with a 10-year-old nephew, he puts the caretaker of his Australian stud farm in charge of the boy. Harry (Paul Winfield), a black American with his own checkered past, takes a liking to the lonely boy. Then, by mischance, young Paul sees his uncle kill someone. To save the boy, Harry grabs him and flees. Payette comes after them with a cold, calculating vengeance. Hunted relentlessly halfway across the country, Harry realizes the only way to stop their pursuer is to turn and confront him. A suspenseful and surprising thriller with a dramatic showdown.
